Canadian Cybersecurity Ecosystem
Cybereco is a non-profit organization founded in 2018, bringing together nearly 70 public, private and academic organizations to tackle cybersecurity and data protection challenges together. By sharing expertise, it supports the development of home-grown talent and technological solutions.
Its members include major players such as Desjardins, the National Bank of Canada, Hydro-Québec, IBM, the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), Deloitte, Accenture and several universities. Since 2023, Cybereco has also been supporting Quebec cybersecurity startups, with the support of the Ministère de l’économie, de l’innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE). The organization draws on a network of over 40 collaborators and the strength of its members, who employ over 300,000 people across the country.
